Get Fit with me just in time for bathing suit season!
Listen. I used to be the laziest person ever. Seriously. On a personal note when I went to Miami back in April I was unhappy with what I saw. (that’s a personal matter please don’t tell me I should be pleased.) Anyway, so when I got home I vowed to start eating healthier. And I realized that because of that decision I was going to try my best to buy organic foods and foods from my local farmers market. I’ve made some pretty great healthy dishes which I’ll share over the next few months.
A few weeks later I started exercising. Tone it Up and Xhit are two favorite you tube channels and I watch them obsessively.
Over the past several weeks I subscribed to Naturebox to get healthy snacks and bought a fitbit to track my progress and motivate myself. all these things combined lead to this moment.
All this being said, I invite you to join me in the #summerslimdown. We will tweet away with pictures, recipes, workouts and progress and I will share some healthy recipes and some apps I am using to help me stay on track over the next few months.
Let’s start it off with a basic simple recipe… Okay. two.
Spinach salad with blueberries and balsamic:
Doesn’t get any easier. Grab some:
Spinach
Blueberries
Balsamic Vinegar.
COMBINE. EAT. ENJOY.
Chickpea Salad
Two cans chickpeas
One yellow pepper
One Orange Pepper
One Red Pepper
Half an Onion
Salt/Pepper [to taste]
Two tablespoons olive oil
Three Tablespoons vinegar
COMBINE ALL.
Refrigerate. Enjoy the next day!

GOALS
- Learn to run without DYING.
- Exercise every morning and evening. (one day off)
- Forgive myself. If I eat something bad. Don’t feel awful. Just remember it’s only once.
- Make all my lunches for work.
- Lose six more pounds.
- Get stronger.
Food wise. I am pretty Obsessed with quinoa as its super good for you. Hummus and salsa are other faves that are great snacks and filling as well. If you need more than that. Check out Naturebox for sure [I’ll share more on that next week!]. I got such great snacks from them. And as for snacking throughout the day, blueberries and grapes are my FAVE. Stock up!
