These healthified and #tiuapproved burrito bowls are AMAZING, quick and easy! Today I’m sharing with you the secret to making better TACO TUESDAY choices, and it starts with these FitBITES Quinoa Turkey Burrito Bowls!
The recipe bellow is the exact one that I use, but I wanted to let you know that there are options to make this a vegetarian or pescatarian bowl as well! Simple use tofu for vegetarian, or shrimp for pescatarian!
- microwavable quinoa
- 1lb ground turkey
- cheddar cheese
- 1 green pepper
- 1 can black beans
- salsa
- cumin
- chili powder
- cilantro
- adobo seasoning
- lime juice/lime
- guacamole/avocado
- Dice pepper
- Cut avocado
- Cut Lime wedges
- Chop few sprigs cilantro
- Clean and drain beans
- Next put your quinoa in the microwave
- Empty quinoa into bowl, add a few drops of lime juice & diced cilantro, stir
- two tablespoons chili powder
- one tablespoon cumin
- generous amount of adobo
- [modify taco seasoning to your liking]
- Then get your bowls ready!
